Mentorship Programs
As part of the Rappahannock Beekeepers Association, we offer free mentorship programs to all RBA members. As part of the continued learning/education process, mentors are an invaluable asset in the world of beekeeping. From hive startups and maintenance, swarm control to pest management and everything in between, your mentor will assist you on your journey. But, don't expect them to do the work for you. Mentors are there to assist and advise. After all, beekeeping is a hands on learning experience. Some mentors will even invite you to their bee yard to assist them.
"But how do I get a mentor?" Great question. New members are usually assigned a mentor after completing the Basic Beginners Beekeeper course. However, at times, people lose contact with each other, join the club and haven't taken the class as yet or even us having the wrong contact information (it happens). If for what ever reason you don't have one, you can simply request a mentor using our easy contact form below.

Want to become a mentor? Great! We love it when our beekeeping friends want to share their knowledge with others. Just drop us a line and let us know you are willing to assist a fellow beekeeper.
